Kelsea Ballerini Claps Back at Fans Who Shouted ‘Team Morgan’ During ‘Penthouse’ Performance
Kelsea Ballerini clapped back at fans who showed support for her ex-husband, Morgan Evans, by shouting “Team Morgan” during her recent concert in Sydney, Australia.
During the concert on December 5, Ballerini, 32, interrupted her performance of “Penthouse” when she overheard fans shouting, “Team Morgan.”
“F**k off,” she said as other people in the audience began to cheer and giggle, according to a video of the moment shared via TikTok. She then added, “Team everyone’s happy.”
Ballerini then gave a thumbs-up gesture to the crowd before she gave a middle finger and resumed the performance.
Hours after the incident took place, Ballerini took to her Instagram Stories to reshare a clip of the exchange. Alongside the clip, she made sure to share a strong message for those who will be attending her concerts in the future.
“Respectfully, if anyone yells anything disrespectful to anyone during this song again, it will no longer be on the setlist,” she wrote in the post on December 6, per E! News. “Please let this be a song that matters to people and not a place to insert yourself into a world that doesn’t exist and was never yours to begin with.”
She concluded, “Team everyone’s happy or bust. Please.”
Ballerini was previously married to Evans, 40, from 2017 to 2022, and the song “Penthouse” is about the end of their relationship.
While the fans who heckled her were at her concert, they likely showed support for Evans because he is originally from Australia.
Following their split, Ballerini moved on with actor Chase Stokes in 2023. Despite seeming like a solid match, the couple shocked fans when it was revealed that they split in September. The duo briefly reunited in November, though they called it quits again soon after.
On December 1, Ballerini seemingly shared an update about how she was doing in light of the split during an Instagram Stories Q&A.

After one person asked how she was doing and what she needed from fans, Ballerini responded, “Thank you for saying this and asking. I’m in a steady and happy place right now, truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays.”
The “Emerald City” singer continued, “If I had one favor, it would be honoring that I’m trying to make my personal life personal for now. Unless it comes from me, it’s not from me. And that is really important in protecting my peace right now.”
