Bachelor’s Kelsey Anderson Reveals Why She’s Not Wearing Diamond Ring Amid Joey Graziadei Engagement
The Bachelor alum Kelsey Anderson revealed why she’s not currently wearing her engagement ring from her fiancé, Joey Graziadei, and she shut down split rumors in the process.
Kelsey, 26, sparked concern that she and Joey, 29, were experiencing relationship issues when fans noticed that she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring in several social media posts. The former reality star eventually took to TikTok on Sunday, January 12, to address one fan who asked, “Where is your engagement ring?”
“Ah, where is it? I don’t know! I’m scared. What the heck,” Kelsey jokingly said as she held up her hands, confirming that she wasn’t wearing the ring.
After Kelsey clarified that she was “joking,” she continued, “I’m just not wearing it. And you know what that means. It means I’m still engaged cause it’s literally just a symbol.”
Kelsey explained that she wasn’t always wearing the ring for a reason, and she didn’t “all of a sudden take it off” to hint that she and Joey called it quits.
“I realize that it causes excess wear and tear whenever I wear it, like whenever I work out, you know just wear it all the time,” she said. “I’ve been trying to practice taking care of it better, putting it away whenever I get home or whenever I’m working out.”
She then explained that the ring needed to be fixed after she “warped” it and “one of the diamonds fell out” due to the way she was taking care of the accessory. “Now I’m trying to be more responsible,” Kelsey said.
While Kelsey insisted that everything between her and Joey was fine, she pointed out that the Dancing With the Stars champ didn’t have the same pressure of wearing a ring to signify their relationship. “Y’all didn’t say anything to him. It’s cause I’m a woman,” she said. “That’s real nice.”
“But yeah, I know I’m in a public relationship and that’s why people are like, ‘What?’” Kelsey concluded. “But yeah, all good in the hood over here.”
The couple got engaged during the Bachelor season 28 finale, which aired in March 2024. Shortly after Joey popped the question, he was announced as a competitor on season 33 of DWTS in September 2024. He went on to win the competition in November 2024 alongside his partner, Jenna Johnson.
While Kelsey and Joey appeared to be a united front during his time on the show, the former tennis instructor admitted that competing on the show made certain parts of their relationship challenging.
“It was difficult at times. I think she probably was open about that with you guys, too,” he said while appearing on the January 8 episode of “The Squeeze,” referencing her previous appearance on the podcast in November 2024. “It was never a walk in the park and it’s literally just because of timing. I would have loved — especially in this important beginning time in our relationship — I would have loved to have been able to put so much more time into it than I physically could have.”
