She needed a little break. We can’t even imagine how hard the past couple of weeks has been for Khloé Kardashian in the midst of her very public split from her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, after he cheated on her with her little sister Kylie Jenner‘s (former) best friend Jordyn Woods. On March 27, the 34-year-old got candid with her fans and explained why she needed to take a little bit of a break from social media in the aftermath of the scandal.

“I know I’ve been distant. A rough month for me emotionally. But I never want you to think for second that I don’t love/appreciate you. All of you!” Khloé wrote to a fan. “I try to come on when I can cuz [sic] one of my favorite things to do is have sweet tweet chats. But at times it’s been toxic [for] me. Balance.”

Another fan told Khloé that even though they realized that she hasn’t been as active on Twitter with fans as she normally is, they understand that she has to focus on herself and her daughter, True, right now. “I know you know! I do!! Trust me, I’ll be back in full beast mode soon,” Khloé wrote. “Just trying to disconnect and be with my baby and work on myself more. But I’ll never leave you.”

Khloé briefly interacted with her fans just hours before E! released the trailer for season 16 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Of course, all of the drama between her and her baby daddy is front and center this season.

“It just sucks it has to be so public. I’m not just a TV show. This is my life,” Khloé sobbed in her confessional.

She could be heard yelling in another clip, “My family was ruined!” and in a different shot, she screamed “Liar!” into the phone with her best friend Malika Haqq by her side.

But Khloé also questioned the NBA star’s love for her in another scene. “Tristan might love me, whatever that means. He has no respect for me whatsoever,” she said.
