Kim Kardashian Blasted Over Virgin Mary Candle on Kimoji Website

Uh oh. It looks like Kim Kardashian has offended a lot of people with her latest Kimoji merch.

The 36-year-old spontaneously dropped a few products in celebration of 4/20, also known as “Weed Day,” including a Virgin Mary candle with her likeness.

Almost immediately, fans on Twitter called out the mother-of-two for being sacrilegious. In the Roman Catholic Church, candles like the one she’s selling for $18 are lit when offering up a prayer.

“Disgusting! As a Christian I’m truly offended. If you knew who the Virgin MARY was and represented you would actually be embarrassed,” one person wrote, while another said, “Kim Kardashian as the Virgin Mary is just as horrible as Kendall’s Pepsi ad. what’s wrong with y’all, y’all that money hungry?”

The reality star is no stranger to controversy. Earlier this week, she received criticism for calling the flu “an amazing diet,” adding, “So happy it came in time for the Met lol #6lbsdown.”

The backlash was so swift that she deleted the tweet. “So the key to being skinny is starving, got it,” one user commented, while another wrote, “Can you please stop with this? Illness is not a way to get slim.”

Kim previously revealed how she lost baby weight after giving birth to son Saint in December 2015. “I think if you just really stay motivated and focused, the Atkins diet was so easy for me because there’s so many sweets and treats that keep you satisfied along the way,” she told E! News.

“My sisters are really into working out right now. So when you have a good support system and you all want to just get it together,” she added. “Kanye is super into working out. It just makes it easy that that’s our lifestyle at home. Kanye doesn’t love sweets so that really helps to not have a lot of junk around.”
