Kourtney Kardashian Is Speaking Up About ‘Unsettling’ Food Served at Her Kids’ School: ‘I Wasn’t Satisfied’
Using her voice! Kourtney Kardashian took to her lifestyle website, Poosh, to get real about a topic very important to her: her children’s nutrition.
The 40-year-old expressed her concern over what her kids eat at school in a blog post she recently shared. “I wasn’t satisfied with the food being served at my kids’ school, so I made sure that the principal knew my concerns,” Kourt explained. “And I’ve continued to offer my two cents on everything from the type of milk they serve to their use of single-use plastic.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star said that it doesn’t take much to make a difference. “You don’t have to donate large sums of money, create a foundation or cause a scene to chip away at little (or big) issues in the world, starting with your community,” she wrote. “I’ve found that simply using my voice to stand up for small changes that add up to big impacts is so effective at not only creating change, but setting an example for my children.”
“I may not be the loudest or the most aggressive, but I’ve never been one to stand by and watch something I disagree with unfold,” she continued. “For example, it’s common knowledge these days that food is fuel. When it comes to my kids’ schools, seeing what kind of meals and snacks are provided can be unsettling … processed foods, less than fresh, inorganic produce, etc. But as moms, it’s in our power to raise some awareness and rally for healthier options.”
We love how passionate Kourt is about the three main people in her life. The brunette beauty shares Mason, 9, Penelope, 7, and Reign Disick, 4, with her ex Scott Disick. Together, the two have managed to successfully coparent, even when dating other people. If that isn’t goals, we’re not sure what is!
