Kyle Richards’ Daughter Alexia Umansky Marries Jake Zingerman In ACOTAR-Themed Wedding
The Real Housewives family just got a little bigger! Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s daughter, Alexia Umansky, tied the knot with her longtime love, Jake Zingerman, in a stunning midnight garden-themed wedding in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 6.
The lavish celebration hosted 250 guests, including Bravo favorites Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne and Teddi Mellencamp, who all turned out to support the 29-year-old real estate agent on her big day.
Known for her “eclectic” taste, Alexia told People that she likes her events to “feel homey and as intimate as possible.” But when it came to her wedding, she embraced a darker, more dramatic aesthetic inspired by Sarah J. Maas’ fantasy series A Court of Thorns and Roses. “There was a lot of dark, rich, romantic jewel tones and sparkles,” she explained.
The bride didn’t plan the fairytale evening alone. Kyle, 56, was deeply involved in every step, while Mauricio, 55, cheered his daughter on from the sidelines. “In the beginning, [my mom] thought that I would be open to doing this all on my own because I can be particular. But one day I looked at her and I was like, ‘No, no, no. We need to be doing this together,’” Alexia shared.
She admitted the process came with its own set of challenges. “It’s almost like there’s a little too much pressure when it comes to your wedding day,” she said. “I can’t be making decisions on my own. I need my mom to hold my hand a little bit.”
Alexia and Jake’s love story goes back to 2019, when the pair started out as best friends before their relationship turned romantic. “When we first started having feelings for each other and we didn’t want to admit it, it was just one of those things where we would feel that way and think that way, and it was in the back of our head and it was so scary to say something,” she confessed.
She recalled just how nerve-wracking it was to open up about her feelings. “It felt reckless to say I loved him because of all of the dynamics between our friend groups and how real our friendship was, and he really was my No. 1 best friend,” Alexia explained. “I mean, the first time I told him I loved him, I actually bawled my eyes out … I knew he felt the same way. It was just opening up that can of worms that was a major leap of faith.”
Their relationship milestone came in November 2024, when Jake proposed during a candlelit night at home surrounded by family and friends. Alexia announced the happy news on Instagram, later sharing a joint reel captioned “11.7.2024 💍.”
Now that they’ve said “I do,” Alexia and Jake are already thinking about the next chapter. “He’s really looking forward to being a dad, as I am being a mom,” she revealed. Still, the newlyweds plan to take a little time before expanding their family. “I think I want to be married for about a year before we start really trying … But who knows what happens? Whatever happens, I’m welcoming it.”
