She’s that much closer to becoming a bride!

Lady Gaga has only been dating her talent agent boyfriend Christian Carino for about six months, but the couple is already preparing to take their relationship to the next level by getting engaged. Sources exclusively revealed to Life & Style that Christian already secured the blessing of the other super important man in Gaga’s life — her dad, Joe Germanotta!

Gaga — real name Stefani Germanotta — and her parents are originally from New York, but she currently lives in LA with her beau. Since she’s extremely close with her family, the 31-year-old decided to fly her father Joe and her mom Cynthia Germanotta to her place so that they could spend time together on the long Fourth of July weekend — and get to know her 38-year-old beau.

“Christian saw this as a perfect chance to ask Joe for his daughter’s hand in marriage,” the insider says. “When the timing was right, he quietly asked Joe for his permission. Christian is old-fashioned that way, and he felt like it was the right thing to do before he went ahead and popped the question.”

The gesture was extremely sweet, and it’s the next logical step in the wedding planning process. As Life & Style previously reported, Gaga had already started planning her wedding to Christian and she’s she just waiting for him to get down on one knee. But now that her father has given them his blessing, the source says, “It’s just a matter of time before he proposes!”

Now the pressure is on for Christian to get a ring, and it’ll be hard to outdo the gorgeous heart-shaped diamond ring that Taylor gave her when he proposed back in 2015!
