Awards season sure suits Lady Gaga well. The star, 32, looks absolutely stunning in a gray Alexander McQueen dress at the 2019 Oscars on February 24.

Based on her glow, it’s safe to say the singer is in good spirits as this marks her first red carpet appearance since her split from ex fiancé Christian Carino. The former couple ended their four-month engagement right before Valentine’s Day. Speculation of their split began at the Grammys on February 10. Both Christian and her engagement ring were missing on the big night.

While neither party has released a statement about the official reason for their split, there are reports suggesting it had to do with her successful career. Balancing work and relationships has always been a struggle for the Grammy-winning artist, as she previously stated in her Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two.

“It’s a sad day when I’m doing the Super Bowl and I’m so excited to do it, but I can’t help but realize that when I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt [Williams]. I sold 30 million, I lose Luc [Carl]. I get the movie [A Star Is Born], I lose Taylor [Kinney],” the pop icon confessed in the 2017 doc. “It’s like a turnover.” History seems to be repeating itself — Gaga’s career just got bigger thanks to her Oscar nomination, but unfortunately, it seems like the more she succeeds, the more her personal life is affected.

On the bright side, she’s now gaining respect as a serious actor. Gaga is nominated for her leading role on A Star Is Born, which received lots of nods. Her first Oscar nomination came in 2016 when her song “Til it Happens To You” was up for Best Original Song for the film The Hunting Ground. However, this is her first time being nominated for Best Actress thanks to her amazing portrayal of Ally.

We wish you many wins tonight, girl!
