According to a new report, Lamar Odom will star in a reality show focused on his current recovery more than a year after his near-fatal overdose.
The news comes just a few days after the former NBA star voluntarily checked himself into a rehab facility in San Diego, CA.
“He went to continue making sure he stays sober and on the right path,” a source tells Us Weekly. “It was something he chose to do."
TMZ also reports that the 37-year-old was proactive about getting help because he feared that his late son's birthday on Dec. 15 would push him over the edge.
The athlete's son Jayden, with ex Liza Morales, died just six months after his birth in 2005 from sudden infant death syndrome.
As fans know, Lamar was hospitalized in October 2015 after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel. Then-wife Khloé Kardashian stood by his side throughout the ordeal, and helped nurse him back to health. The couple finalized their divorce earlier this week.
