One Direction Star Liam Payne and Girlfriend Cheryl Cole Split After Two Years Together
Another Hollywood relationship bites the dust. One Direction star Liam Payne and his girlfriend, Cheryl Cole, have split after two years together. The couple announced their split via Twitter on Sunday, July 1. The duo began dating in 2015 and are parents to a 15-month-old son Bear. They met 10 years ago when they both auditioned for X-Factor.
"Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways," the 24-year-old tweeted. "It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."

Cheryl followed up with a similar statement. "We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together," she wrote.
In the past, the duo has been plagued by cheating rumors and more. Liam has addressed them in the past. "The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married. The next week we’re splitting up," the pop star previously told ES Magazine. "And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle. You know, we have our struggles — like, of course I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is. But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me."
Before Cheryl, Liam dated ex-girlfriend Sophia Smith from 2013 until 2015, the same amount of time he dated Cheryl. We just hope Liam and Cheryl work it out for the sake of their son, Bear.
