Love Is Blind’s Stephen Richardson Slams Fan Who Claims He Uses Dog for ‘Selfish Needs’
Love Is Blind star Stephen Richardson slammed a social media user that made an inappropriate comment about his relationship with his dog.
Stephen, 34, took to Instagram on October 11 to share a screenshot of a fan who commented under a photo of his dog, Clementine. “Someone call animal control because god knows what this pervert does to satisfy his own selfish needs,” the social media user wrote.
The Netflix star made it clear that he wouldn’t tolerate comments about his beloved dog by directly responding, “DON’T YOU DARE COME AFTER MY F–KING DOG I WILL DESTROY YOU.”
He then elaborated on the situation by writing a lengthy warning to his fans in the caption of the post. “PSA. Anyone that owns a pet regardless of how you feel about ME as a make-believe individual should be absolutely disgusted by this level of degeneracy and hatred,” Stephen wrote, adding that the comment was a “personal attack” that he felt the need to address.
“If you want to see genuine hostility about a subject or individual then I will show you hostility when it comes to my dog. All of you should really take a second to see just how over the line each and every one of you on MY comment sections are acting as grown adults,” he said. “You wanting to vilify me for your own entertainment is one thing since you clearly can’t wait before getting the whole story but please for the love of got don’t be an actually low life form cretin.”
After he slammed the troll for attacking his “child,” Stephen said he would “go to war” for his dog.
“Don’t you ever in your right f–king mind go so far as to insinuate I am f–king my own dog again. I hope you never experience anything of the same and I hope you sincerely thrive in everything you do,” Stephen concluded. “Remember you might be loved but it will not be by me or Clementine. Now have a good day.”
The confrontation came after fans watched Stephen and Monica Davis get into an argument during the eighth episode of season 7. Monica, 37, confronted Stephen about alleged sexual “kink”-fueled text messages he sent to another woman while “drunk” amid their engagement.

“I truly am sorry for hurting you, for wasting your time, for coming on the show and doing this to you,” he told her before their split. “I shouldn’t have come on the show.”
After the episode aired on October 9, Stephen told People that it would probably be “smart to put a password on your phone” when asked about the biggest lesson he learned on the show.
“But in all seriousness, the main things are self-talk, self-reflection, and a lot of the things that I believe, I said it in the pods, where it’s like you don’t know if you’re fully healed until your next relationship,” he added.
The reality star continued, “You see a lot of people talking about, ‘Well, you should have completed therapy before you entered this.’ And I’m always like, ‘Is therapy a completion? Do you complete therapy?’ No, it should be an ongoing thing because you’re always growing and learning and there are traumas that might’ve affected you that were never a problem until your thirties or forties.”
