‘Love Is Blind’ Star Taylor Haag Thinks Daniel Hastings Knew Who She Was Before Filming Season 8
Love Is Blind season 8 star Taylor Haag made what appeared to be a shocking discovery after meeting her fiancé, Daniel Hastings, face-to-face for the first time in episode 6.
Taylor, 32, and Daniel, 30, were all smiles when they saw each other for the first time, but 24 hours later, the cameras took viewers to what appeared to be a hotel room. The colonoscopy nurse then revealed that something had been bothering her since she had seen Daniel.
“When the doors first opened, and I saw Daniel, I thought, ‘He looks so familiar to me,’ but I couldn’t place it,” Taylor told the camera through tears. “Is he familiar because I’ve pictured his face through a wall 15 million times? Is he familiar because I’ve heard his voice? I have this, like, overwhelming feeling that when the doors opened last night, that was not the first time that he saw me.”
She continued, “A couple of months ago, I remember getting a follow request, and I’m fairly positive Daniel followed me on Instagram not long before coming to the show. I just remember seeing this one picture from this account of him being in front of a Christmas tree in a chair with his leg up with a drink. For some reason, that picture stuck in my head.”
Taylor added that she “never followed the account back,” but she was concerned because she had “very specific things” in her bio on Instagram.
“It says I’m a registered nurse. It says that I love Taco Bell. It says that family and faith are important to me. All of these, like, major things. I have a Christmas highlight of how much I love Christmas,” Taylor told producers.
All of those topics were ones that Taylor and Daniel bonded over in the pods and she said that she “couldn’t help but feel that there [was] so much of [herself] there.” While she explained that she “really cared about Daniel,” she felt like she couldn’t “ignore her gut feelings.”
“I feel like Daniel knew exactly what I looked like the entire time we were talking through the wall,” Taylor said.

When Taylor confronted Daniel about her concerns, he denied that he had ever followed her on Instagram.
“I don’t know why I would have followed you and then unfollowed you,” Daniel explained.
Taylor asked him about the specific picture she thought she remembered of him in front of a Christmas tree with his legs crossed but Daniel claimed that he didn’t recall any photo of himself fitting that description.
“I have a picture of me in front of a fireplace,” Daniel continued. “The first Christmas picture I took was in front of a fireplace. I don’t have a drink in my hand. I have more Christmas pictures, but none of them were in front of a Christmas tree.”
Taylor said that she “hoped” Daniel could see “why that was freaking [her] out,” and while he admitted he understood, the sales account executive only nodded his head in agreement before the episode ended.
Fans will get to watch the outcome of Taylor and Daniel’s incident to see if they make it past this bump in the road when the next three episodes of Love Is Blind season 8 drop on February 21.
