Stark Sisters for Life!Maisie Williams Will Officially Be One of ‘GoT’ Co-Star Sophie Turner’s Bridesmaids
It looks like Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s wedding officially has the House Stark’s blessing! On Jan. 22, Maisie Williams revealed that she will be a bridesmaid for her screen-sister, and we can’t get over how cute that is!
“I’ve already got it!” gushed Maisie when asked by RadioTimes.com if she would snag a spot in Sophie’s bridal party. Though Sophie got engaged back in October 2017, Maisie says she isn’t in a rush to plan the wedding — mostly because she wants to focus on the final season of Game of Thrones first. “We’re waiting until this season’s done until we get into any of that,” said Maisie when asked about the wedding plans. “But I think she’s already let her little heart wander and imagine,” she teased.
A source told Life & Style exclusively that the couple is dreaming of a “winter wonderland” theme, since it’s both of their favorite seasons. “Joe has talked about having ice sculptures and a full bar made entirely of ice,” the source explained. “They’re both really excited about it.” We can’t wait to see!
It’s no wonder why Maisie was asked to be a bridesmaid, because the two actress’ unique experience made them fast friends. “To have someone who understands what you’re going through [as you’re adjusting to fame], who’s the same age, who came from pretty much the same background—that is so rare,” Sophie told Elle. “And we’ve had the same struggles in terms of dealing with body image and puberty and growing up in the public eye. But I found my strength in her, and I think she found her strength in me.” One thing’s for sure — the bridal party photos are going to be epic!
