Rose Sombke Self-Eliminated During Season 29 of ‘The Bachelor’

Rose decided to take herself out of the competition for Grant’s heart during week four of the season, in the episode that aired on February 17, 2025.

The week prior during a group date, Grant told Rose that he was “thinking” about her while dancing with contestant Carolina Sofia during a group date. Rose told Carolina what Grant said, and the Puerto Rico native felt betrayed and confronted Grant about the claim.

Rose told Carolina that she felt “f–ked” by her “big time,” explaining that she thought she was confiding in a friend when she repeated what Grant had told her.

While Grant told her he felt they still had chemistry, Rose thought her situation with Carolina put her too far behind to compete any further. She told Grant ahead of the rose ceremony that she was leaving the show, while Grant said he was “hurt” but understood her decision.

“I’ve been fighting myself for a long time, like, fighting to stay and fighting through my own emotions. Everything that happened with Carolina invalidated so much about my relationship that was so good,” Rose explained in a confessional. “This is definitely a tipping point for me.”
