Meghan Markle’s Half-Brother Invited Her To His Wedding And, Uh, We Don’t Think She’s Interested
Congrats? There’s another Markle wedding on the horizon, but this one probably doesn’t have the Duchess very excited. Meghan Markle‘s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., is getting ready to wed his girlfriend of two years and is apparently planning on inviting his royal sibling to the affair. The kicker? He thinks she’ll actually show up…and bring Prince Harry.
“Absolutely I think our wedding will bring the family closer together,” Thomas Jr., 52, told The Daily Mail when asked if the Duchess, 37, would be receiving an invite. “It’s hopeful that if Meghan and Harry came and my father, Meghan and Harry could spend some time together with him and that would be good.”
At first glance, it seems nice for her half-brother to extend an invite to his wedding that will be happening in Reno or Las Vegas this March. However, this is the person who previously wrote a scathing letter to Prince Harry, 34, begging him to not marry Meghan. Back in May 2018, InTouch uncovered a letter written by Thomas Jr. that started off by saying, “Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.” Yikes. It looks like expensive plane fare from London won’t be the only reason Meghan is a no-show.
The note continued by calling Meghan a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage.” Finally, he pleaded to Harry, “You and the royal family should put an end to this fake fairytale wedding before it’s too late.” Hmmm…you probably shouldn’t hold your breath for that RSVP, Thomas.
Considering Meghan has a pretty busy life being, you know, royal and everything, she probably doesn’t have time for estranged family members who publicly shade her. Maybe she’ll send a gift?
