While the NBC news team reels from a sexual misconduct scandal that resulted in Matt Lauer’s bombshell Nov. 29 firing, Life & Style has learned that Megyn Kelly isn’t shying away from the hot-button topic.

In fact, she wants to tackle it head-on by interviewing one of the most infamous and powerful men accused of sexual abuses ranging from harassment to rape: Harvey Weinstein. “She and her staff on Megyn Kelly Today are pulling out all the stops to try to make this interview happen,” a source exclusively reveals.

“Megyn’s been making the case to Harvey’s team that she is the perfect choice to do the interview. She says he needs to come clean to a female journalist and answer the hard questions if he’s ever going to rehabilitate his image,” the source explains. And the insider notes that she’s already “reached out to Harvey’s lawyer, his daughter, and even his soon-to-be ex-wife [Georgina Chapman].”

“Everyone wants the first interview with Harvey — it’ll be a ratings monster,” the source says. “Megyn needs a huge get.”
