‘Shahs of Sunset’ Star Mercedes Javid Marries Tommy Feight in a Lavish Wedding Ceremony
She's now a married woman! After two years of engagement, Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes "MJ"Javid married her fiancé Tommy Feight in a lavish wedding ceremony — and, of course, the event was filmed for an upcoming season of the hit Bravo reality TV show.
Mercedes and Tommy said "I do" at the Jeremy Hotel in LA in front of about 200 of their closest friends, family, and Mercedes' Shahs of Sunet co-stars, according to E! News. The bride wore a Pedram Couture wedding gown, and her co-star and best friend Reza Farahan served as her "man of honor," Us Weekly reported.
MJ, 45, and Tommy, met on Tinder back in 2015 and they fell in love quickly — so quickly that they were engaged the following year. Even though MJ and Tommy were very much in love, a lot of MJ's friends and family members weren't very supportive of their relationship from the start, and she exclusively revealed to Life & Style that she would be very selective when it came to the guest list for her wedding.
"There are a lot of people who said Tommy and I are not going to last. Those people shouldn't be invited," she told Life & Style last October. "I just want it to be romantic, and to be surrounded by our friends that genuinely have been there for us and are going to be genuinely happy for us."
But now that the couple seems to have the support from their friends and family and they are happily married, the newlyweds won't waste much time starting a family of their own very soon — even though MJ has struggled with fertility in the past. "In the very, very, very near future, it's something that we're hoping for," she told the Daily Dish. "It's not on the back burner. We're planning to go for it; unless something goes wrong, we will be pregnant. God willing."
