‘American Idol’ Fans Think Michelle Sussett Looks Just Like Demi Lovato — and Now We Can’t Unsee It
Double take! American Idol fans are convinced contestant Michelle Sussett is Demi Lovato‘s doppelgänger. Viewers are comparing the 21-year-old to the “Skyscraper” singer — and honestly, the resemblance is uncanny. Seriously, you won’t be able to unsee it.
“Yes, so proud of Michelle!!! She’s like a hybrid of Camila [Cabello] and Demi Lovato,” one fan tweeted before another added, “Michelle is like Shakira meets Demi Lovato, and I love it!” A third chimed in, “That Michelle girl looks like the Disney Channel version of Demi Lovato.”

And the similarities don’t end there. Just like Demi, Michelle also performed with Luis Fonsi for a duet on the reality singing competition. The duo teamed up a rendition of Bonnie Rait’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” during the Top 24 All-Stars duet performances — and TBH, we bet she could have slayed Demi’s sections of “Echame La Culpa,” too.
So, what else is there to know about Demi 2.0? Well, the Latina beauty is an immigrant from Venezuela and she has been in the United States for three years. ” I consider myself a showwoman,” she said during her audition. “I’m here to make people laugh, dance, and enjoy music and make them have a super, super happy moment.” And she proved it when she got the judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie, on their feet dancing to Selena’s “Techno Cumbia.”
Unfortunately, Katy had a minor wardrobe malfunction during the dance party. “I don’t think we have anybody that sounds like this at all,” Lionel added. “I love your personality. Let me just tell you, you are a welcome sight.” Demi has yet to comment on her long-lost twin, but we are pretty sure she’s a fan.
