Millie Bobby Brown and Husband Jake Bongiovi Welcome Adopted Baby Girl: ‘And Then There Were 3’
Newlyweds Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are officially parents!
The Stranger Things star, 21, shared the heartwarming news on Instagram on August 21, 2025, announcing that she and her husband, 23, had welcomed a baby girl through adoption. The post featured a touching photo with the words:
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Earlier this year, Millie opened up about her desire to start a family during a March appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast. “Jake knows how important it is to me [to have children],” she shared. “Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me, personally. It’s a huge thing.”
She continued, “Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married.’ So that was his thing, and my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future.”
Millie and Jake, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, tied the knot in 2024 in a ceremony officiated by her Stranger Things co-star Matthew Modine. The pair met through a mutual friend and confirmed their relationship in 2021, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
The couple lives on a farm in Georgia, where they enjoy the company of dozens of animals. Millie explained to Vanity Fair in February that her life on the farm isn’t “for the aesthetic … I’m doing it because I love it.” She also emphasized that she and Jake are aligned on big-picture life goals. “We were pretty united going into it,” she said. “We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want. It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”
The couple’s connection began over Instagram in 2021, and Millie has described their initial conversation as immediately impactful. “I was curious about him and wanted to learn more,” she told the Sunday Times in August 2023. “From our very first chat, I knew he was going to play a significant role in my life. After we met, it was clear we never wanted to be apart.”
