Back to L.A.! WWE Superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and his wife, Maryse Mizanin, are returning tonight with season 1 of their hit USA reality TV series, Miz and Mrs, and they’re in for another big move. In the beginning of the season, the “It Couple” packed everything up for a cross-country move to Austin and in an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Mike and Maryse explained why they moved to Texas and why they ultimately decided to return to California.

“It’s very difficult to explain, for sure,” Mike, 38, told Life & Style exclusively. “We talked about it for a while, like what we wanted to do and why we wanted to live in Austin. We wanted to get away from all the hecticness. We wanted to get away from a lot of things and we wanted to kind of start a whole new life in a slower pace as well as have great schools and that’s exactly what Austin has. It’s amazing, it’s an incredible city, but once we got there and started living there, after six months we were like, ‘Oh we’ll get used to it,’ and then eight months went by and we’re like, ‘We’ll get used to it,’ and then a year goes by and we’re like, ‘We’re not getting used to it.’ We literally looked at each other, we went back to L.A. — you’ll see this on Miz & Mrs this season.”

Maryse, 36, was very much on the same page as her hubby — and she revealed they’ll be making their big move back in two months. “L.A. is home for us. We’ve been there for 15 years,” the former Total Divas star said. “Austin is great but it’s just not home for us. L.A. is definitely where we want to be. It’s just a different vibe. It’s not that Mike and I are necessarily partying and going out because what we like to do on our days off is watch movies and kind of just chill. But there’s just something about L.A. that’s more — it’s just the vibe; we just like it better. We’re in the entertainment industry and I don’t know how to explain it. It’s just more of us.”

“Also it’s like all our friends and family and everyone we know is there,” Maryse added. “So actually me. with having a new baby and another one on the way, it would be great for me to experience all of that with friends and people I’ve been hanging with for over a decade. That’s what I really personally miss also.”

Mike and Maryse share 1-year-old daughter Monroe together, and Maryse is currently pregnant with baby No. 2! As for the rest of this season, fans will get to see more of Mike and Maryse as parents to Monroe while juggling their careers and their second pregnancy — all while planning for their big move. “I would say expect the unexpected,” the former WWE Intercontinental Champion shared, “because you never know what you’re going to get with this show.”
