Nia Sioux Reveals Which ‘Dance Moms’ Stars She Still Talks To — and Who She’s Cut Off

She may have left the Abby Lee Dance Company behind, but Nia Sioux is still dancing her way through life with a few familiar faces by her side.

In an October 2025 interview with E! News, the Dance Moms alum, 24, opened up about which of her former castmates she’s stayed close to—and which ones she’s keeping at arm’s length. And according to Nia, her friendship with fellow OG Chloé Lukasiak is still going strong.

“I see Chloé quite a bit because she’s in New York,” Nia shared. Though the UCLA grad lives in Los Angeles, she makes sure to catch up with her childhood bestie whenever she’s on the East Coast. “We’ll try and get together for a second,” she explained, adding that they recently reunited to watch Misty Copeland’s final performance with American Ballet Theatre on October 22.

Their bond doesn’t end there—Chloé even wrote the foreword for Nia’s upcoming memoir, Bottom of the Pyramid. “Chloé wrote the foreword for the book,” Nia noted, “which is really, really, really special.”

But Chloé isn’t the only one cheering Nia on. “I’ve had a couple other cast members say that they were proud and excited for me,” the former reality star revealed. “We have a very special bond.”

Still, not every Dance Moms relationship has survived the test of time. Reflecting on her early days as one of Abby Lee Miller’s original dancers, Nia recalled moments of exclusion from her costars—like when she was left out of hangouts with Todrick Hall and other YouTubers. “I definitely blame the adults in this situation for all of that stuff,” she admitted. “Because we were kids, and kids take after adults, and, unfortunately, the adults just failed them in certain situations.”

Even so, the Pittsburgh native insists there’s no bad blood with most of her former teammates. “I’m friends with, still, a good amount of them,” she said of Chloé, Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Brooke Hyland and Paige Hyland.

There is, however, one firm boundary Nia stands by. “Everyone’s experience is different,” she said of her fellow dancers’ relationships with Abby Lee Miller. “But, I think for the most part, if people have a relationship with her, I can’t have a relationship with them.”

Her comments come just months after JoJo Siwa and Abby Lee Miller publicly reunited on Access Daily. “I think the one thing that I would never ever lose for Abby, no matter what, is respect,” JoJo said during the emotional moment. “And I think we could go years from now, you could do anything, but the respect that I have for you will be the same as when I was 9.”
