Get you a man who supports your biggest efforts, you know? Singer Selena Gomez definitely has that in rumored new boyfriend Niall Horan, who left the sweetest comment on her Instagram on October 23. The 27-year-old made a post promoting her new single, “Lose You to Love Me,” and it’s clear the One Direction alum is totally behind the new track.

“Thank you all for standing by my side through the highs and lows. I couldn’t do it without you all and I can’t wait to start my next adventure with you,” Selena captioned a black and white clip, teasing the new song with a few seconds of emotional music. “‘Lose You To Love Me’ is out now.” The brunette beauty even added the hashtag, “#ShotOniPhone,” which, considering the clip, is a quite impressive feat.

The Irish hunk, 26,  immediately flocked to the comments section to share support for Sel’s new song, leaving two little red heart emojis on the post. Talk about an encouraging person to have in your corner.

Though things between Niall and Selena have been purely speculative at this point, fans definitely took some hints from the cute comment. “Can the next chapter be Niall and Sel?!” one follower questioned, while another added, “I was waiting for this!” Another follower even gave the approval of ~the fandom~ at large. “Get her, Niall, we approve,” they wrote.

Folks have been curious about the true nature of the friendship between the pop pair since 2015, when they were reportedly spotted locking lips at Jenna Dewan‘s 35th birthday bash. At that point, they’d already been pals for three years. Since the alleged makeout sesh, the duo has denied, denied, denied any romantic entanglements.

Most recently, a group photo from a dinner with friends that they were both present at made its way to the internet — and Niall shut down any speculation during a SiriusXM appearance. “We’re friends. We have the same group of friends. We hang out all the time. The one photo that was ever taken got posted,” he said earlier this month. “We’re good friends. No collaborations as of yet. I know she’s been doing some music too. We were just out for dinner.”

Fine, Nialler, it was just dinner — but we’re waiting for you to make a move!
