AwwNicole Kidman Says She and Husband Keith Urban Are ‘Just Peas in a Pod’

Seven-year itch? Never heard of it! Despite the fact that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been married for over a decade — the pair said “I do” in 2006 — their connection is deeper than ever. “[It’s] extremely simple with what we want from each other and what we want from a relationship,” the Big Little Lies powerhouse, 51, gushed to Vanity Fair. “Just peas in a pod in that regard.”

See that, people? Hollywood love isn’t always fleeting. In addition to that sweet sentiment, Nicole revealed that she and the 51-year-old country crooner bond over their love of music. In fact, on top of being an award-winning actress, Nicole considers herself a bona fide “tour wife.” So much so, that she memorizes Keith’s tour schedules and dates … in a single glance! 

“I love that Keith is a guitar player and a singer, but his passion is guitar and writing music,” she said. “That’s what I’m around every day.” As it happens, though, Nicole and Keith are hardly the only music lovers in the family. The couple’s gorgeous daughters — Sunday, 10, and Faith, 8 — both play instruments. Although, Sunday also has an interest in acting.

Luckily for her, she’s got the best in the business as a mother! That said, Nicole is hardly a stage mom. “You can’t really get kids into anything, I’ve realized,” Nicole expressed. “You can push them a bit, but motivation is a really hard thing. I mean, nobody motivated me to be an actor. If anything, they tried to deter me.”

While Nicole doesn’t pressure her goals, she does have a couple of unpopular household rules. “They don’t have a phone and I don’t allow them to have an Instagram,” she confessed. “I try to keep some sort of boundaries.” To be honest, in world where 5-year-old’s are on social media, we find Nicole’s parenting approach refreshing.

It’s clear that she and Keith are the ultimate relationship and parent goals for a reason.
