Nikki Bella Reveals She Is Holding on to Her Wedding Dress in Hopes of Getting Back Together With John Cena (EXCLUSIVE)

Is there still hope? Nikki Bella and John Cena split up and called off their May 5 nuptials three weeks before the big day, but Nikki exclusively tells Life & Style that she held on to the wedding dress — and expects to wear it one day.

“I kept it because, honestly, I think that John and I will probably end up together,” the Total Bellas star reveals to Life & Style. “He is my best friend and I love him.”

John and Nikki, who started dating in 2012, got engaged last year. And while all the planning for what Nikki calls her “dream wedding” was done, she couldn’t go through with it. “If it doesn’t feel right, if there is any type of hesitation, you have to figure it out and…[not] be afraid,” she says.

Total Bellas star Nikki, 34, acknowledges that it was her call to pull the plug on the wedding. “I just didn’t want to walk down that aisle and give those vows and have hesitation or have regret,” she confesses to Life & Style. “The day I give those vows, I truly want to be with that person until death do us part, and I have that hope for John and I. I really do. But right now I just have to deal with the issues that gave me cold feet.”

While John’s reluctance to have kids was a sticking point in the past, he now says he’s up for becoming a dad — and Nikki confirms that wasn’t the issue. “I’m just in a period of my life that I really need to work on me,” she admits. “A healthy me is a healthy us.”
