He’s got her back! On Wednesday, March 28, Cardi B’s husband, Offset, took to Instagram to share a sweet message for the “Money” rapper, 26. “Ride or die forever. Love you no matter what’s going on. I love you. Best mother and hustler I know,” the father-of-four, 27, gushed, along with a picture of the pair on vacation.

It’s likely that Offset is showing his lady some support on the ‘Gram thanks to a controversial clip from Cardi’s past. “I had to go strip, I had to go, ‘Oh yeah, you want to f–k me? Yeah, Yeah, yeah, let’s go back to this hotel,’” the Grammy winner said in an Instagram Live video from 2016. “I drugged n—ers and I robbed them. That’s what I used to do.”

The video quickly went viral and the proud mama immediately received a ton of backlash. Some people even began to liken her to R. Kelly by using the hashtag “#SurvivingCardiB.” Shortly thereafter, Cardi shared a message with fans regarding the incident(s) in question.

“So, I’m seeing on social media that a live I did three years ago has popped back up. A live where I talked about things I had to do in my past right or wrong that I felt I needed to do to make a living,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.

“I never claim to be perfect or come from a perfect world wit [sic] a perfect past. I always speak my truth, I always own my s–t. I’m a part of a hip-hop culture where you can talk about where you come from, talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are.”

Cardi concluded her statement with, “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive.” As it stands, no formal charges have been made against her. Either way, it’s clear that Offset will stand by Cardi through anything.
