Olivia Rodrigo Hints at OR3 in Studio Selfie as Fans Push ‘Luck’ Album Title Theory
Olivia Rodrigo is teasing fans yet again — this time with a new studio selfie that’s fueling even more theories about her upcoming third album.
On November 19, the singer shared a photo of herself inside a recording studio, the first slide in a carousel of November moments that also included a shot of her best friend Conan Gray. Her caption — “november🌈🌈🌈🌈” — instantly grabbed fans’ attention. Not only was she back in the studio, but the rainbow emojis sparked new speculation about OR3’s potential theme. Many fans believe the album could be titled Luck, and rainbows — a classic lucky symbol — only added fuel to the fire.
Olivia has been gently nudging fans toward the next era for months. Just last month, she officially closed out her *Guts* chapter during her October 23, 2025 American Express special, confirming the performance was “definitely going to be the last Guts show.” With the tour wrapped, Livies were quick to wonder if OR3 was already on the way.
The album — still untitled publicly — follows 2021’s *Sour* and 2023’s *Guts*, and Olivia has hinted at a creative reset. In her November 2024 *Vogue* interview, she said, “It’s time for new beginnings,” sharing that even a new haircut made her feel “like a brand new girl.” She also teased fresh music in the works.
Fans first caught a possible OR3 clue during her final Guts tour stop at Osheaga Festival in Montreal on August 3, 2025. Olivia performed wearing a red shirt bedazzled with a sparkling number 3 — a moment fans immediately interpreted as a wink at the next era.
Soon after, she officially said goodbye to Guts on Instagram, writing, “rings off!!!!! that’s a wrap on Guts tour!!! until next time I love y’all 💋🎸🎂,” while giving her silver “GUTS” rings to fans. Days later, in her fan newsletter, she wrote that she was “sooooo excited for all that’s y3t to come!!!!”
As for what OR3 will be called, Olivia admitted she’s still deciding. In an October 2025 *Harper’s Bazaar* interview, she explained, “I had the title of Guts and Sour at the beginning of the album-making process, but for this album, I’m kind of still finding it right now… I have one that I’m feeling good about, and I think that’ll be the title, but I am not 100 percent positive yet.”
“It has to feel right in your body,” she continued. “I have to sleep on it a few nights before I really decide that that’s the one.”
Fans have floated several theories — especially four-letter titles like Kiss, Dusk, Star, Lady, Dare and Luck. The latter has gained momentum thanks to Olivia’s recent use of lucky symbols, including rainbows, ladybugs, and polka dots.
Olivia even addressed the fan speculation in Cosmopolitan, saying, “I see a bunch of album title theories all the time, which is so fun… I love seeing people’s theories and them connecting all of these dots.”
