Paris Jackson Is a Vision in Blue on the Cover of ‘Vogue Australia’ — and We Feel Like a Proud Older Sibling

Michael Jackson’s only daughter, Paris Jackson, is taking over the fashion world one magazine cover at a time!

Five months after posing for Rolling Stone, the 19-year-old appears on the July issue of Vogue Australia — and conducted her entire interview via text.

The blue-eyed beauty revealed that one of her biggest goals is to be a positive role model. “I already have many young girls looking up to me, and I want to be something their parents are OK with them looking up to,” she shared.

And the teen, who famously referenced the Dakota Access Pipeline while presenting at the Grammys, has a lot of causes she’s passionate about. “Fighting for the people, I feel, is my duty,” the up-and-coming model admitted. “I really want to leave a positive imprint in the fashion world.”

Well, she certainly made a statement on the 2017 Met Gala red carpet!

The Star actress arrived at the annual event with her manager, Tom Hamilton, wearing a black, ankle-length Calvin Klein gown with a cutout below the bustline. But fans really started talking when she lifted up her arms — revealing that she hadn’t shaved her armpits before the big night.

Although we were surprised by the unconventional choice, we’ve always applauded the teen for marching to the beat of her own drum. And she certainly had a ball at her first ever Met Gala!

Paris’ table included Julianne Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow (along with other big names), and she was present for Kylie Jenner’s star-studded bathroom selfie. In fact, she’s the one being lifted up in the popular shot.

But self-love didn’t come naturally to the blonde beauty. “When I was 14 I got so much hatred that I tried to kill myself,” she revealed in an Instagram video that has since been deleted. “I’ve tried sticking up for myself, I’ve tried the whole blocking the haters thing, not reading the comments. I’ve tried, I’ve tried a lot of things, ignoring it, but it’s hard. It is, when there’s so much of it.”

She added, “I don’t get why I’m such an easy target. I try to be nice to everybody that I meet. I give everyone a chance. I’m usually a very trusting person. I try to be open with you guys about what I do on a daily basis, I share my life with you, I don’t hide a lot, I’m very public.”

Thankfully, Paris appears to be in a healthier place emotionally.
