Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Steakhouse Has a Taylor Swift Easter Egg on the Menu

Kansas City Chiefs players, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have been doing a bit more than just football lately. The dynamic duo are co-owners of Kansas City’s newest restaurant called 1587 Steakhouse.

In an interview with Kansas City’s “The Drive” radio show, Mahomes revealed that the restaurant’s cocktail menu includes a nod to Taylor Swift.

“I’m not a big liquor drinker myself, but from everybody I’ve heard it’s a really good drink, and obviously we wanted to have an ode to Taylor and how important she is, not only to us but to this city as well,” said the 29-year-old.

Mahomes added that the cocktail, called, ‘The Alchemy’ is both visually fun and delicious adding, “I think people will be super excited to get it, and it has the theatrics and stuff like that people will love, but it’s also a really good drink as well.”

According to People, ‘The Alchemy’ cocktail features a delightful mix of clarified citrus vodka blend, dry curaçao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime, and oolong tea.

The cocktails name is a reference to Swift’s song, ‘The Alchemy’ that is widely rumored to be about Travis Kelce.

In the lyrics, she sings, “Touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team. Ditch the clowns, get the crown, baby I’m the one to beat. Cause the sign on your heart said it’s still reserved for me. Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”

The full cocktail menu, set to debut when the steakhouse opens Wednesday, September 17, is packed with references to Mahomes, Kelce, their fellow Chief athletes, and their significant others.
