Penn Badgley Shares the Sweetest Birthday Shout-Out for Wife Domino Kirke: ‘A Truly Radiant Soul’
No, we’re not crying! You’re crying. Penn Badgley took to Instagram to share quite possibly the most beautiful birthday shout-out we’ve ever seen for wife Domino Kirke.
“A super brief review of your invisible qualities: A truly radiant soul, you seem to spark alight almost everyone you meet, like a 99 percent success rate. It’s really impressive and quite mysterious,” the former Gossip Girl star, 33, began on Tuesday, December 18.
“You encourage others to be honest and brave and gentle and expansive. Your great capacity for empathy is obvious, something anyone can get warm by like a glowing stove. Your desire to be of service to others is miraculous,” Penn continued. (Seriously, someone get this guy a Pulitzer!)
“It is in your DNA. In pictures as a very young child, you exude it — a great care and sweetness; an invitation. You make others happy by you. For me, it is a joy to witness you when you are happy. For you, I always hope to be a source of joy. I’m really glad we’re married,” he concluded.
Naturally, fans of the loving pair had a lot of feelings. “This is the best caption ever,” one user gushed, along with a heart-eyed emoji. “Wow! That was beautiful. I want someone to love me this much!” added another. “Absolutely beautiful. Happy for you,” a third user chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “Impossible not to cry after reading this.”
Considering Penn and Domino, 36, have kept a pretty low profile since getting together in 2014, his message is especially sweet. That said, this is hardly the first time the pair have praised each other in public. During a previous interview with Hey Mama, Domino reflected on her life as a single mother — she has a son named Cassius Riley from a previous relationship — ahead of meeting Penn.
“I had a really good thing with my kid and we were like this little team. Penn and I were dating, but it wasn’t nearly as serious as it is now, of course. I didn’t think marriage was in the cards for us,” she admitted. “So, I was sort of just chugging along, surviving and getting through the days, and I think the difference now is that I’m really living.”
Needless to say, these two are definitely one of our favorite couples in Hollywood!
