Pink Was Mommy-Shamed on Instagram Proving Once Again That the Internet Is a Savage Place
Celebrity moms know better than anyone the criticism parents face on a daily basis! Take, for instance, Pink, who’s being slammed on Instagram over a photo she posted with her two kids.
In the pic, the singer cooks over the stove while holding her seven-month-old son Jameson in a baby sling. The Grammy winner’s six-year-old daughter Willow kneels on a counter nearby. “Dinner time,” she captioned the family snapshot.
But it didn’t take long for the social media police to come out in full force. “Cute photo but please don’t cook wearing the baby. I’ve read some really horrific stories about terrible accidents that have occurred doing this,” one user wrote. Another said, “Dangerous stuff for your kids! Stop doing this… This picture would give a good example of what not to do with small children. Shocking picture.” A third person added, “The amount of crazy parenting around this picture is insane.”

But plenty of Pink’s two million followers came to her defense after the barrage of negative comments. “Love this pic @pink this is honestly a day in a life of a REAL mother!” one dedicated fan wrote. “We do what we can while making sure we spend time with our kids…people who start s–t about nothing are pathetic and have nothing better to do. Keep rockin parenthood girlfriend it looks good on you!!!!!”
This isn’t the first time the performer has had to fight off the haters. After announcing her second pregnancy, the songwriter was lectured for drinking coffee, even though it was decaf. And she’s previously responded to fat-shaming remarks.
“My good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me,” she wrote. “I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous, and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off.”
