Priyanka Chopra’s Bridesmaid Elizabeth Chambers ‘Nearly Missed’ Her Wedding — ‘It Was Total Chaos’
If you’ve ever been a bridesmaid, then you already know that it’s a pretty, er, demanding job. That said, the most important responsibility of all — and we can’t stress this enough — is actually showing up to the freakin’ wedding! It may seem obvious, but as it turns out, one of Priyanka Chopra’s bridesmaids Elizabeth Chambers came dangerously close to abandoning her bestie at the altar.
“Elizabeth nearly missed Nick and Priyanka’s wedding because she didn’t have a visa to travel to India!” a source told Life & Style exclusively. “She called Priyanka from the airport asking ‘Do I need a visa to travel to India?’ She couldn’t understand why she wasn’t allowed past the check-in desk and ended up missing her flight. She was all packed and ready to go but had to go straight back home with all her luggage from the airport.”
No shade to Elizabeth, 36, but why didn’t homegirl think to Google the travel requirements before heading to the airport? “Elizabeth’s assistant had to scramble together the travel documents to get them approved in time for the wedding,” the source continued. “It was total chaos!”
Thankfully, the source noted that Priyanka, 36, remained cool as a cucumber and actually ended up finding humor in the whole debacle. “Priyanka will never forget all the drama and says that Elizabeth nearly missing the wedding is the funniest thing that happened at the wedding.”
The other ladies in the actress’ bride squad, including Priyanka’s future sister-in-law Sophie Turner, weren’t quite as understanding, though. “All the other bridesmaids were like ‘WTF’ because they’d met Elizabeth at the bachelorette party,” the source confessed. “It wouldn’t have been so bad if Elizabeth had been a regular guest, but she was a bridesmaid!”
To be fair, it’s clear that Priyanka’s wedding to her handsome hubby, Nick Jonas, ended up being a magical event regardless of Elizabeth’s little travel mishap.
