On Thursday, May 9, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child, Psalm West. Days later, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 38, revealed the baby’s unique name on Instagram, and now fans can’t help but wonder if he has a middle name.

According to the new baby’s birth certificate, obtained by Life & Style, Psalm West is the sweet boy’s full name. As Khloé Kardashian once pointed out, parents can actually choose to add a middle name later if they want, but it’s unlikely that will happen. When the birth certificates for North, Saint and Chicago surfaced, they each showed no sign of having anything else but their first and last names. However, Kim did sort of try giving Chicago a middle name, but it didn’t work out.

Kim posted a selfie of her second daughter in July 2018, and the caption led many to believe her name was Chicago Noel. However, the mom-of-four set the record straight in a YouTube video the following month and revealed she was just “trying on” the middle name on her baby girl, adding that Kanye wasn’t a fan.

“I love the name Noel. Kanye does not,” Kim explained in the video. “So, I unofficially Instagrammed ‘Chi Noel’ and I was like, ‘I’m doing this because I want her middle name to be Noel.'” She then admitted she can add it later and planned to do so, however, it’s been nearly a year since then and it doesn’t seem like that has changed.

Besides choosing to not give her kids a middle name, Kim is also into one-syllable names, with the exception of Chicago of course. In April 2018, Kim appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to explain why she chose Chicago as baby No. 3’s name. “So her name is Chicago,” the host, 61, began. “But … when I was pitching names, you said you wanted one syllable.” “Right, so, Chicago is not one syllable,” quipped Ellen.

“Yeah, it kind of messes with me, I’m not gonna lie. I really like the one syllable thing,” Kim added. It looks like she went back to her old ways!
