She’s been through the ringer. Between the four-year toxic custody battle with ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, and the tragic death of her on/off boyfriend, Dennis Shields, Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel was pretty sure she’d never find love again. But her new boyfriend, Paul Bernon, seems to be changing Bethenny’s attitude towards love, and sources revealed exclusively to Life & Style magazine she’s even introduced him to her eight-year-old daughter, Bryn.

Though Paul, a 41-year-old film producer, and Bethenny have only been dating a few weeks, she still made the big move and introduced her daughter to her new beau during a trip to the Hamptons on Nov. 11. “Bethenny would’ve never let Paul meet Bryn if this was just some fling,” a source told Life & Style magazine. “She’s already saying they’re in it for the long haul.”

Considering the climate of Bethenny’s love life recently, it makes sense that she’d want to move on to better and brighter things. The passing of Bethenny’s on-again-off-again boyfriend, Dennis Shields, really threw the 48-year-old NYC mom for a loop. The pair had been friends for more than 30 years at the time of his passing, which occurred while he and Bethenny were a couple. After taking time to process the news, Bethenny took to social media to give her feelings on the tragedy. “It’s hard to breathe [and] I appreciate you giving me the space [and] support to try to do so,” she wrote on Twitter. “It’s excruciating — sudden death is no closure [and] constant [questions] [and] memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy [and] move through it [with] tears [and] close friends. XO.” Dennis was found dead in his Trump Tower apartment from an apparent prescription pill overdose in August of this year, according to Us Weekly, though the cause of his death remains undetermined because an autopsy was not performed due to religious reasons.

We’re glad Bethenny has moved on, with all the relationship turmoil she’s been through in the last year. Let’s hope she and her new man really are in it for the long haul –– this RHONY mama could use a little good news.
