RHOSLC’s Angie Katsanevas Says Seth Marks Went ‘Too Far’ Calling Whitney Rose a ‘Biatch’
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas has slammed Meredith Marks’ husband, Seth Marks, for calling her costar Whitney Rose a “biatch” in a recent episode of season 5.
“You know, knowing Seth because he’s a humorous, funny guy, I thought he would kind of try and back pedal and say he was kidding, but he really doubled down after he [called Whitney a biatch],” Angie, 50, said during an interview on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast published on Wednesday, November 20. “He was angry, but I think to call a woman a ‘biatch,’ you are calling them a bitch. Had the tables been turned and Shawn [Trujillo] called his wife a bitch, I think we would have never heard the end of that one and it would have been called ‘disrespectful,’ ‘disgusting,’ ‘vile,’ all of it.”
The mom of one continued, “So, I think he took that one a little too far and I think he – we’re all still waiting for an apology.”
The interview speculated that Seth, 52, might apologize at the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 reunion, and Angie admitted she would “accept it” and that she was “forgiving.”
Newcomer Bronwyn Newport also gave her opinion on the disastrous dinner party.
“I’m always hopeful for a resolution,” Bronwyn, 39, explained. “I like everybody for different reasons and I want to be friends with everybody, but I think I’ve been pretty candid, also, that I will match anyone’s freak. So, if you don’t want to apologize, I will also not be apologizing. I’ll start the apologies, but if there isn’t one for me there, we’re going to go gutter.”
While the cast was vacationing in Palm Springs in RHOSLC episode 9, Meredith, 52, confronted Shawn about some comments he made during a podcast appearance. The mom of three claimed that Shawn accused her of using her son Brooks Marks’ “sexuality to deflect from her bad behavior.”
“She took the opportunity to leverage her son and things like that knowing that this didn’t land quite the way they wanted it to,” Shawn told David Yontef during the October 23, 2023, episode of the “Behind the Velvet Rope” podcast.
Shawn denied ever mentioning Brooks’ name, and Whitney, 38, asked to see the proof. Seth was quick to pull up a headline that read, “Shawn Trujillo Accuses Meredith Marks of Using Her Son Brooks After Gay Rumor.”
After reading the headline to the group, he held his phone in front of Whitney’s face and shouted, “Proof, biatch!”
The moment took Whitney and most of the other guests by surprise.
“Did you just call me a biatch?” Whitney asked, shocked, to which Seth replied, “I did. You just said, ‘Show me the proof,’ and I did. Show me your proof.”
“Wow, Seth,” Whitney responded.
However, the Wild Rose Beauty founder had more to say about the moment in a one-on-one interview with producers.
“I gotta zip up my energy real tight right now because it is taking everything I have to not leap across this table and beat the s–t out of this man.”
