Robert Irwin Has ‘Full Circle’ Moment During Visit From Niece at ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Rehearsal

Robert Irwin enjoyed an adorable visit from his niece, Grace, while practicing for season 34 of Dancing With the Stars with his partner Witney Carson.

Robert, 21, took to Instagram on Monday, November 10 to share a video of him, Carson, 32, and Grace, 4, dancing in the show’s rehearsal space.

In the clip, Carson was seen instructing Bindi Irwin’s daughter in a simple dance routine as the three performers held hands. Carson later spun Grace around as Robert cheered off to the side, while the clip continued with a sweet moment of the group twirling before they took a bow.

Grace, who dressed in a sparkly black dress for the occasion, was clearly enjoying herself, and the clip ended with her happily clapping as she looked at herself in the mirror.

“I love when Grace stops by rehearsals and we can teach her some new dance moves. I’m so lucky to be her uncle,” Robert wrote in the caption before he recalled when his sister, Bindi, 27, competed on the show and eventually won season 21. “Makes me think about when I was a little kid watching my sister in rehearsals on her season of DWTS, it really is a full circle moment.”

Shortly after Robert shared the clip, several of his family members and fans took to the comments section to gush about the memories he was making with Grace.

“Grace is living her best life!” Robert’s mom, Terri Irwin, wrote, while Bindi added, “She’s so happy.”

One fan called the moment “the cutest thing EVER,” and another chimed in, “We just witnessed a core memory in the making. This so so cute!”

“So cute – she loves her pretty dress and watching it swirl in the mirror,” a third fan wrote about Grace, while another commented, “What a sweet uncle you are, Robert! The Irwin family really is just the height of what excellent humans look like.”

There’s no denying that Robert has a close relationship with all of his family members, revealing that Bindi even gave him advice before he made his DWTS debut. While speaking to TV Insider in August, he said Bindi told him to “apply” himself and “give it 100 percent” while trying to “sit back and enjoy every second.”

“So that’s what I’m going to do. I want to give it my all but really try and revel in it and enjoy every second because it’s something that is a one-of-a-kind experience, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he added at the time.

Robert has impressed many viewers with his dance moves this season, though he also admitted he had “the least dancing experience of maybe anyone who’s ever done this show.”

“I have so little rhythm, it’s scary. Maybe I shouldn’t be saying this! It’s definitely not something I’ve ever done, but this is the fun thing,” Steve Irwin’s son said. “I don’t know. I’ve never done this before. It could go anywhere. I could go, ‘I got this!’ Or it could be a really big uphill battle for my dance partner.”
