Roger Mathews And JWoww Celebrate Wedding Anniversary Amid Divorce: ‘Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day’
On Sept. 27, news broke that Jersey Shore alum Jenni “JWoww” Farley filed for divorce from her husband, Roger Mathews. Now, less than one month later, it looks as though the pair is trying to reconcile their failed marriage.
On Oct. 14, Roger took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his estranged wife celebrating their three-year wedding anniversary. In case you’re wondering: Yes, we’re just as confused as you are. “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” the father-of-two captioned the snapshot of the couple enjoying a seemingly romantic dinner.
Additionally, Roger posted a clip of the pair during a horse-drawn carriage ride. Before wishing JWoww a happy anniversary, the 41-year-old can be seen leading Jenni to her seat where a bouquet of flowers was placed. How sweet! “It all started with a smile,” Roger captioned the video. OK, we’re crying a little bit.
Naturally, fans went absolutely bananas for both posts. After all, Jenni and Roger have been Jersey Shore favorites for years now! “Sometimes couples need a wake-up call and a reset on the marriage. Hoping it works out for you both! Best of luck,” one user commented. “Roger, you and Jenni have two beautiful kids and it’s clear that you both still love each other. It is wonderful that you are trying really hard to make things work! Don’t give up!” added another.
Speaking of the pair’s two beautiful kids —Meilani, 4, and Greyson, 2, — it’s clear that no matter what happens between Jenni and Roger, their children come first! In fact, just a few days following their divorce announcement, Roger shared a sweet new family photo — and it made fans so happy to see that the duo’s parenting skills weren’t compromised by the split.
