She may have been nervous to take the stage, but Sarah Hyland didn’t have anything to worry about! The Modern Family star joined up with Jordan McGraw at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 11 to perform their new song, “Met at a Party,” and they totally killed it. So much so, that fellow industry heavy hitters couldn’t help but share their praise on social media.

“Our guy [Jordan McGraw] and the amazing [Sarah Hyland] just killed it on the Teen Choice Awards with ‘Met at a Party,’” the Jonas Brothers gushed on Twitter. “OMG! Sarah Hyland got those pipes,” one fan added, while a second chimed in with, “Girl can sing!”

Earlier in the day, Sarah, 28, joked about having a little stage fright. “I’m not terrified to perform with in-ears for the first time ever at the [Teen Choice Awards] … you are,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. She also showed a photo of herself tripping at the even from a few years back. “#Throwback to four years ago at the [TCAS],” she captioned it. “Fingers crossed it doesn’t happen again today.” There were no disasters to report this time around, though — just smooth sailing.

The duo dropped the song just a few days before the awards show, releasing it on Friday, August 9. “We met in a recording studio to sing a song about meeting someone at a party,” Sarah tweeted to announce the news. “#METATAPARTY IS OUT NOW!!!!” Though the star is better known for her acting than her singing, dropping singles is nothing new for her. In the past, she also collaborated with BoTalks for their single, “Know U Anymore,” as well as Boyce Avenue for a series of covers, including Halsey and The Chainsmokers‘ “Closer.”

She’s also no stranger to the stage, having performed in plenty of musicals. Most notably, she performed at the Hollywood Bowl as Chrissy during the Hair live performances in 2014, belting out her lines next to fellow celebs like Kristen Bell and Glee stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Amber Riley. So it’s no surprise that Sarah looked right at home during her “Met at a Party” performance. She may have been anxious about it, but at this point, she’s pretty much an old pro.
