Taylor Swift Looks Totally Bangin’ on the Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet

Her look is just as iconic as she is! Taylor Swift is making history as the first-ever recipient of the Icon Award at the Teen Choice Awards, but before hitting the stage to accept her trophy, she strutted her stuff down the red carpet. Donning an extravagant short suit with a matching shirt, the star served multicolor realness while giving fans a sneak peek at the lacy red bra she was wearing underneath. With hoop earrings and bright orange shoes, she looked the dictionary definition of doing the most — but in a way we totally love.

Though Tay’s bangs are hardly a new addition — she’s been rocking the fringe pretty much since the Reputation era started — she put a fresh, retro look on them as she stepped out on the carpet. She also kept her makeup light in contrast to her colorful couture. The best part about her whole look, though, was the sweet smile she wore as photographers snapped her photo. Now that that the singer has officially entered the Lover era with the release of her new album just days away, she’s free to embrace her soft, sweet side once again.

Recently, Taylor, 29, opened up about the dark place she was in while working on songs like “Look What You Made Me Do.” After the “mass public shaming” she says she faced at the hands of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and their legion of fans, she turns to music to work through her emotions. “[It was] a very isolating experience,” she told Vogue in early August. “I knew immediately I needed to make music about it because I knew it was the only way I could survive it. It was the only way I could preserve my mental health and also tell the story of what it’s like to go through something so humiliating.”
