YouTuber David Dobrik Is ‘Super Single’ At the Moment, But His Dating Roster is Certainly One to Behold
The dating life of a YouTuber can be, well, complicated — and star David Dobrik definitely knows a thing or two about a strange relationship. So, what’s going on with the vlogger’s current romantic status? Who has he dated in the past? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Let’s take a look at the content creator’s love life.
Who is David dating right now?
Fans speculate the Slovakia native is dating a slew of pretty girls right now, including his assistant Natalie Mariduena, singer Madison Beer and TikTok star Addison Rae. However, he debunked many of these claims while quarantining over the last few months. “Maybe we are!” he told E! News about his supposed (and comedic) connection with Madison on May 5. “I’m just kidding, we’re not.”
He also touched on his close bond with his assistant during the interview … in a joking way. “I can’t choose between Natalie and Madison,” David said. “It’s too tough.” Romance rumors about David and Natalie started when she moved into his L.A. home to be his assistant full-time in 2018. He has yet to address the Addison rumors, which began when he did a TikTok with her in April.
The popular YouTuber said he was pumping the breaks on dating in August 2019. “Super single and yeah, I’m very, very far from being in a relationship again,” he told J-14. “I have a lot of time to figure myself out. Yeah. Maybe in like four or five years. That’s when I see myself going back. Yeah. I could be lying. I don’t know.”
So, for now, the funny guy seems to be up for grabs — though he may not exactly want to be grabbed at the moment. Clearly, he’s still figuring things out from his last relationship.
Who was David’s last relationship?
Believe it or not, David actually married best friend and fellow vlogger Jason Nash‘s mom, Lorraine, in May 2019, where he documented the whole event for his YouTube channel. When Life & Style caught up with him in August 2019, he reflected on his short-lived union while commenting on the longevity of YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau‘s new one.
“Because marriage is tough,” he said, while explaining why he didn’t think the married couple would make it. “I didn’t myself, I was married for a month and I couldn’t do it, so I know how hard it is and I don’t think they have it in them.”
He filed for divorce from Lorraine in June 2019 — and it seems David may have actually learned a little something from the experience. Also, he was right about Jake and Tana; They split in January 2020.
Any other noteworthy exes we should know about?
Well, he did, of course, date fellow YouTube superstar Liza Koshy. The duo started dating back in 2015 and were together for three years before announcing their split in June 2018.
“It wasn’t healthy for us to continue to be together,” David said in their breakup announcement vid. “Liza broke up with me because she felt like we’ve been distant because we’ve been so busy. As much as I hate to admit it, I was feeling it on my side too.”
“We felt like we were living separate lives but neither of us was coming to terms with it,” Liza added. “So I decided we should break up. We didn’t want to tell anybody because we were just so angry at the fact we distanced in the first place. We did nothing to each other to cause a breakup. We have a lot of growth and development and learning and loving to do.”
Naturally, fans and followers were super bummed out about the split, as the pair had quickly become #CoupleGoals via their cute appearances in each other’s videos.
