Scott Disick Feels ‘Protective’ Over Khloe Kardashian Following Tristan Thompson Reconciliation
That’s what friends are for! Scott Disick feels “protective” over Khloé Kardashian after her reconciliation with off-again, on-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.
The Talentless founder, 37, “would hate to see her get hurt again,” but is giving Tristan, 29, “the benefit of the doubt,” the insider adds. “He’s going all out to make an effort with him. Scott’s made mistakes in the past and learned from them, and he believes Tristan can, too.”
The professional basketball player was caught cheating on Khloé, 36, a number of times during their relationship — most notably with Kylie Jenner’s former best friend Jordyn Woods in February 2019. While the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star distanced herself romantically from Tristan following his indiscretions, the pair continued to successfully coparent their daughter, True Thompson.
In August 2020, Scott confirmed the couple’s relationship was back on after writing “[Tristan] is a lucky man!” on one of the Good American founder’s bikini photos. “Khloé isn’t annoyed with Scott for outing their romance,” notes the source. “She and Tristan were actually amused by his comment. They’ve been back on for months and things are going great. They knew it’d be impossible to keep their relationship a secret in the long run. In a way, Scott’s timing was perfect.”
Prior to the Flip It Like Disick founder’s admission, Khloé and Tristan spent the last few months quarantining together amid the coronavirus pandemic. “She’s happy that Tristan is in the picture. He loves his daughter and they’re getting along better than she expected,” a separate source told Life & Style in April.
In the past, Khloé made it clear her personal feelings toward Tristan take a backseat to his relationship with True. “I want to show my daughter that it’s OK to forgive her dad,” the E! personality said in an October 2019 interview with Jay Shetty. “He’s a great person. Maybe he and I weren’t compatible or whatever in that way, but that’s OK. Nobody’s going to die. I always want True to be surrounded by love.”
