It’s that time of year, y’all, and Selena Gomez is ready for it. The singer recently dished about what her upcoming 2019 holiday plans are … and how she’s gearing up to spend the end of a tough and rewarding year. Needless to say, she’s going to be doing her fair share of relaxing — like the rest of us.

“I think every time the holidays come up, there’s some part of you where you kind of sit and reflect on the year,” she revealed to InStyle in an interview published on November 26. “This year was really, really powerful for me. I can say that I’m so proud of how hard I worked.” She continued, “I always just think about what happened, and where I want to go in life, and hope for the best.”

When it comes to her typical holiday plans, the 27-year-old gushed over being “excited to just sit back with my family, and enjoy, and turn off everything” during her upcoming breaks. Not for nothing, the brunette beauty definitely deserves some relaxation time.

Selena had a banner year, with an appearance in the Jim Jarmusch film The Dead Don’t Die. Plus, her big singles “Lose You To Love Me” and “Look At Her Now” set the stage for her upcoming third studio album release in 2020.

The Texas native even dished on what to expect on her January release. “I can say this, and it might not sound right, but I’ve tried my hardest to make this the best album I’ve ever done,” she said. “And I feel like I lived up to the expectations.” She added, “Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me in the ass.” LOL, you’re good, girl!

Though it seemed to be a trying year emotionally for the starlet — especially with her former flame, Justin Bieber, marrying Hailey Baldwin — it seems as though Selena has been doing what she can to mend her heart. In fact, Hailey, 23, has also been trying to foster a positive relationship between them … on social media.

“By liking photos of Selena, whether it be a glam shot or ones that her friends post on Instagram, Hailey wants to show that there are no hard feelings,” an insider told Us Weekly. “It’s her way of trying to make peace and show her support for Selena in a low-key way, yet public way.”

All we want for Christmas is girls supporting girls — so we’re all about this potential friendship.
