These Would-Be Plastic Surgery Nightmares Look Like Totally Different People After ‘Botched’

From Rajee’s cement face implants to the twins Lucy and Anna who were crushed to discover their breast implants weren’t precisely symmetrical, Botched has seen some exceptionally shocking before-and-after plastic surgery transformations. Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif help hundreds of people with their corrective plastic surgery services, though they’re not afraid to turn away a patient whose risks outweigh the benefits of a particular procedure.

“I realize there are 10 plastic surgeons on this block who’ll operate on you, but I advise you to have realistic expectations,” Dr. Dubrow, 59, has said of saying no to patients “Stop trying to be perfect. Plastic surgery is just a way to become a better version of yourself. People will say to me: ‘Do I need this?’ My answer is ‘No. You absolutely don’t need any of it, unless you have a major deformity that’s affecting you socially.'”

“One of the things I like about Botched is that it’s a cautionary tale,” Dubrow continued. “Real surgery can be real dangerous. Make sure the benefits overwhelm the risks.”

And the risks, we’ve definitely seen. Patients on Botched have been high-risk for blindness, necrosis, infections, granulomas, and more. Toby Sheldon — the infamous Justin Bieber look-alike who paid over $100,000 to emulate the singer’s look — passed away of a drug overdose in 2015, a year after appearing on the series.
