‘SNL’ Drags Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s Season of ‘The Bachelor’ in Hilarious Parody

“Can I steal him for a sec?” Bachelor fans will recognize SNL‘s latest sketch — the late-night variety show recently aired a parody of the current season of the hit reality show.

The clip — “Car Hunk” — is a spoof of Arie Luyendyk Jr.‘s season. Arie (played by Alex Moffat) meets women on the parodied dating show including Heidi Gardner, Cecily Strong, Jessica Chastain, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, and Melissa Villaseñor who are vying for the hunk’s heart.

The way SNL poked fun at Arie aka “Car Hunk” was hysterical — even to the star himself. The 36-year-old racecar driver tweeted out the clip writing, “I love that @nbcsnl ? .” So it was clearly all in good fun!

Contestants on the show and fans alike also expressed their thoughts on the sketch on Twitter. Kendall Long tweeted, “I liked @kmcnuggets “You’re not the only man in my life” approach to introducing Arie to taxidermy on @nbcsnl this weekend ? ? ? #takingnotes #thebachelor.” While a fan wrote, “SNL Bachelor sketch killed me this week. ‘Tell me something about yourself’ – ‘I’m the only girl in my town with all her teeth, so, I’m their Queen.'”

SNL also did a sketch titled “Bland Man,” “Beard Hunk,” and “Farm Hunk.” It’s not hard to guess that “Beard Hunk” was a wink at Nick Viall and “Farm Hunk” was a riff on Chris Soules.

Honestly, the SNL writers didn’t hold back with mocking the show. “Last season we broke new ground, with our first black bachelorette, and this season, we’re back to the whites. He’s a race car driver who, depending on the light, is handsome. Which of the 12 Laurens will he choose to be his bride?” LOL — we like this.
