Nolan Gould Hints at ‘Modern Family’ Cameo By Sofía Vergara’s Hubby Joe Manganiello! (EXCLUSIVE)
In an interview with Life & Style, Modern Family star Nolan Gould admits that he would love to have Sofía Vergara’s real-life husband, Joe Manganiello, join the cast.
Joe, 40, couldn’t play a love interest for Sofía, 44, because her character’s happily married. But Nolan, who plays Luke Dunphy, already has a plotline in mind for Joe. “A personal trainer for Luke,” mulls Nolan, “solely because I just want to work out with Joe and I don’t know how to go about asking.”

The show’s creator, Steve Levitan, has another idea: Joe could be “a love interest for Mitch and Cam,” he jokes. “A Mitch-Cam crush! How’s that?” Sounds good to us!
Having Sofía’s husband on the show, even for a guest spot, “would be great,” Nolan adds.
