Southern Charm’s Craig Conover Says He Had ‘Insecurity’ in Paige DeSorbo Relationship Before Split
Southern Charm star Craig Conover gave his costar Shep Rose some advice about his fledgling relationship and opened up about what caused him to have “insecurity” in his fizzled romance with now-ex-girlfriend Paige DeSorbo.
Craig, 36, revealed that his and Paige’s long-distance relationship made him question her feelings for him because, at times, she had other “priorities” to tend to that occasionally put him on the back burner.
“It’s an insecurity that I have dealt with because Paige is so busy,” Craig explained to Shep, 44, during the Thursday, February 13, episode of Southern Charm season 10. “Her career is one of her biggest priorities and I had to learn how to exist in that world.”
Paige, 32, announced that she and Craig had called it quits after three years together during the December 30, 2024, episode of her podcast, “Giggly Squad.”
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together. I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing,” Paige told her cohost Hannah Berner. “I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
A week later, Craig addressed their split in a video he shared via Instagram Stories on January 7.
“I was very shocked. And it’s OK. It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff,” the Sewing Down South founder said. “I’m still processing everything, which is normal. It’s a 3-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day everyday, and then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it.”

Soon after Paige and Craig’s breakup, rumors that she had cheated him began to swirl but she quickly shut them down.
“Let me say this here and now: I did not move on with some new guy. I’m single. I don’t have a new boyfriend. I did not cheat on my ex-boyfriend. I never, in the three years that I dated my ex-boyfriend, I never physically cheated on him, emotionally cheated on him,” Paige said during the February 3 “Giggly Squad” episode. “When I announced my breakup on ‘Giggly Squad,’ I thought really hard about how I was going to say it, the words I was going to use, because of this exact thing.”
She continued, “But since no one’s sticking up for me on the other side … perpetuating even more rumors, I will say that Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend. OK? That’s at the end of November … It was a full month that we were broken up, and I didn’t say anything because even though we are public, there are certain things that I think should remain private, and he asked me not to say anything.”
