Kim Kardashian Really Fired Assistant Steph Shep Because She Asked for a Raise (EXCLUSIVE)
For years, Stephanie Shepherd has been keeping up with her boss Kim Kardashian as her personal assistant. However, the former cheerleader was recently fired by the reality star — and the real reason behind her dismissal has finally surfaced.
Sources are revealing exclusively to Life & Style that Steph was fired because she was not happy with her salary. “Kim seemed more than happy with Stephanie — until she asked for a raise,” a source reveals. A second source adds, “Kim had been paying Stephanie $65,000 a year. She’d been working for Kim for three years with no raise and knew it was time to ask.”
Steph, who has appeared on several episodes of KUWTK and was the COO of Kim’s company Kardashian West Brands, asked for a $20K increase, but Kim, who is worth $175 million didn’t budge. Ouch.
Steph revealed she was “unfulfilled” by her job to Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian on a recent episode of KUWTK and Kim made it clear she did not think it was professional. Currently, the duo is reportedly not on speaking terms.
“She’s still friendly with the other sisters but she and Kim aren’t really speaking,” a source told People magazine. “Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go. She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work.”
The insider continued, “Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time, it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways.” Steph also called out a “bad friend” in a Instagram post and many saw it as a dig at Kim. Let’s just hope the former BFFs don’t let money ruin their friendship forever.
