Fans Want Cardi B To Take The Stage With Maroon 5 At The 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Hmm, OKURR! Maroon 5 is rumored to be performing at the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show, and now fans are hoping Cardi B joins them on stage to perform their hit song “Girls Like You.” While we couldn’t hope for anything better, the Bronx rapper may have bigger plans. The 25-year-old is negotiating for a possible solo set, according to reports, and many people think the demands could actually save the show.

Fans weren’t particularly thrilled by the NFL’s rumored choice to have Adam Levine’s band perform at the 2018 Super Bowl. Since the game will be held in Atlanta, some fans were hoping they would pay homage to the city and have a Hip-Hop musician, so Cardi B could be their saving grace.

Bruno Mars even tweeted to the sports franchise back in February giving them a nudge in that direction. “@NFL you have the opportunity to celebrate incredible Hip-Hop Artist from Atlanta next year,” he tweeted at the time. The former halftime show performer even provided some suggestions in another tweet. “Outkast, T.I., Gucci, Lil Jon, Jeezy, Jermaine Dupri, just to name a few,” he said. “It would be the best party TV has ever seen!”

Considering Cardi B is one of the hottest names in Hip-Hop right now, many think it would be beneficial for the NFL to have her— given she fits Atlanta’s prominent music choice. Only time will tell what will happen for the 2019 show!
