Tana Mongeau Wins ‘Creator of the Year’ at the Streamy Awards: ‘This Is the Best Moment of My Life’
The clout has been chased — and it has been achieved. YouTuber Tana Mongeau took home the coveted “Creator of the Year” award at the 2019 Streamy Awards on December 13, and, needless to say, we’re just as thrilled for the 21-year-old as she was for herself. Hard work pays off, y’all!
Earlier in the day, before the awards show began, the blonde beauty made it clear how special this moment (win or lose) was going to be for her. “This is truly one of the biggest days of my life,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “I have so much to say. Don’t worry — you’ll hear it. But f—k. I love you.”
She also showed off her seriously sick ‘fit for the big night on the ‘gram while she was getting ready. A look clearly inspired by Billie Eilish (Tana confirmed this later on the red carpet, we stan), the blonde beauty wore a neon green sweatsuit covered in crystals with her initials. It was a pretty on-point ~lewk~, if we do say so ourselves.
After winning the award, Tana took to Twitter to express her thankfulness and excitement for the high honor. “This is the best moment of my life. Of my career. The most full circle I’ve ever felt. Oh my god,” she wrote. In a separate tweet, she addressed all the people who helped her get here. “I will never be able to express my gratitude to Shane Dawson, my fans, Jordan [Worona], and my friends. F—k,” she gushed. “Oh and Jake.”
Naturally, her proud husband, Jake Paul, also made several posts about the big win. “Queen won that s—t,” he wrote on his own Instagram Stories over photos of Tana on the red carpet. “Go TF off @tanamongeau.” He also retweeted her “best moment of my life” tweet, adding firecracker, lightning bolt and fire emojis.
Tana wasn’t done freaking out, though, and continued to tweet throughout the night. “Creator … of the year ……” she wrote later on, followed by an anecdotal tweet. “I just asked someone for a cigarette and they go, ‘OK, Creator of the Year’ Hahahahahauauauaua [sic].”
Finally, she shouted out her fans who made the award possible at the end of the night. “Thank [you] guys beyond belief,” she gushed. “[You] saved my life and continue to every single day.”
