Tarek El Moussa Still Hasn’t Held Ex-Wife Christina Anstead’s New Son: ‘I’m Looking Forward to It’
He’s ready to play his part — soon, that is. Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa is thrilled for ex-wife Christina Anstead and her new son, Hudson … but he’s a little nervous to actually be more involved with the little guy. Turns out, the 38-year-old is a little skittish about holding the newborn because of how small he is.
“I haven’t held him yet, because they’re little and they scare me a little bit,” the reality star told Us Weekly at the Movember Charity Campaign Kickoff for First Responders event on November 1. “But no, he’s super cute! He’s gonna be a part of my life. And I’m looking forward to it, you know? It’s the brother to my kids.”
Plus, the HGTV star gushed that his children are “very excited about” having a baby brother. He and Christina, 36, share daughter Taylor, 9, and son Brayden, 4. Even though his kids are stoked to have a little one around again, Tarek did reveal he’s pretty happy his pair are already a little grown up.
“I love the ages that my kids are at. My son just turned 4, we play video games together, we wrestle! We’re homies, you know?” he revealed to the outlet. “When we hang out with our babies, they’re cute and stuff but you can’t do all the things you can do when they get a little bit older.”
In mid-September, Tarek told Life & Style exclusively how he’s been navigating coparenting with Christina and her new husband, Ant Anstead. Turns out, it’s going really well — they’ve got it down to a science.
“Really, there’s only one tip that people need to remember: The kids are first. Like, that’s it, you know?” he explained during HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation premiere. “If you remember to always put the kids first the rest falls into place.”
Plus, Tarek’s new girlfriend, Heather Rae Young, has been fitting right in with the kids, especially daughter Taylor. “It’s very new and I love it. His daughter and me bonded very quickly,” she revealed to LS at the same event. “She was amazing … I think she was really excited to meet me and she loves her dad so much.”
Looks like this blended family is doing just fine!
