Tarek El Moussa Dishes on Friendly Coparenting Relationship With Ex Christina Anstead: ‘Kids Are First’
Their family will not ~flop.~ Tarek El Moussa dished exclusively to Life & Style about how he has such a friendly coparenting relationship with his ex-wife, Christina Anstead. The two finalized their divorce in 2018, and although both are in new relationships, their family still seems as close as ever.
“Really, there’s only one tip that people need to remember: The kids are first. Like, that’s it, you know? If you remember to always put the kids first the rest falls into place,” the 38-year-old explained during HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation premiere. Tarek and Christina, 36, share two children — Taylor and Brayden.
The reality stud has found happiness with his new girlfriend, Heather Rae Young. The two took their relationship public in August and she’s even been enjoying time with his kiddos. “It’s very new and I love it. His daughter and me bonded very quickly,” the blonde beauty gushed exclusively to Life & Style during the same event on September 5. “She was amazing … I think she was really excited to meet me and she loves her dad so much.”
Luckily, the Selling Sunset star didn’t have too much time to get nervous before the big meeting with the 8-year-old. “Yeah, it was great. He kind of sprung it on me last minute,” she confessed. “We’re on our way to dinner. And he’s like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna go by the house.’ And it went well. We had great talks.”
As for Christina, she just welcomed her newborn son, Hudson, with her husband, Ant Anstead — who also has two children from a previous marriage — on September 6. There doesn’t seem to be any saltiness between the exes, and Tarek even recently gushed that he is “very happy” for Christina’s new chapter in life.
If you’re wondering how Heather feels about her man’s cozy relationship with his former wife, she is unbothered. “I’m a really confident person and I’m confident in our relationship,” the 31-year-old explained to Radar. “And I think what he does and everything he has going on is so amazing. I’m fully supportive of everything.”
It looks like they have a good thing going!
